Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-11-02 (version 2026-11-02)

Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how FarmStation Pro, operated by David Collenberg ([LLC NAME]), Fort Jones, California ("FarmStation") handles information in the FarmStation Pro app and website. Email: support@farmstationpro.com.

What we collect

Farm records you enter: fields, crops, equipment, animals, customers, invoices, expenses, trackers, notes and custom fields. Most of this is stored on your device.

Photos you take or choose (equipment, serial plates, fields, animals, scale tags, receipts, documents) are stored on your device. A photo is sent off the device only when you use an AI feature that reads it.

Location: when you drop a pin, submit an item, identify a plant or map a field, we use your device's GPS with your permission and store the coordinates with that record on your device.

Crew submissions: the submitter's name, time, GPS location, photos, documents and comments, stored on the farm's device. When team accounts and sync launch, they will be stored on our servers for your farm.

Integration credentials (for example weather station API keys) are stored only in your iPhone's Keychain and are sent only to that service.

Technical data: an anonymous app user ID, plan status, request counts for usage limits, IP address (for abuse protection) and crash or error information.

AI processing by a third-party provider

When you use AI features, the message, any attached photo or document text, and the relevant farm records needed to answer are sent through our server to our third-party AI provider (currently xAI) to generate a response. We do not use your content to train our own models. The provider processes it under its API terms. Don't put information into AI features that you don't want processed this way.

Payments and subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to confirm your subscription status; it receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipts, not your card details. If you use in-app payment links for invoices, the payment provider you choose (for example Square or Stripe) processes that payment under its own privacy policy.

How we use information

To provide the Service, answer AI requests, enforce plan limits, prevent abuse, provide support, review feature requests you send, and improve the app.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell or rent your personal information or farm data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Service (AI provider, hosting, RevenueCat, Apple), when you direct us to (for example sending an invoice), or when required by law.

Retention and deletion

On-device data stays until you delete it or the app. Server-side usage counters expire automatically (days to about a month); feature requests are kept until reviewed. You can request deletion of any server-side data by emailing us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete and port your information, and to not be discriminated against for using them. Email us to make a request.

Security

We use encryption in transit, keep API keys on our server or in the Keychain, and limit access. No system is perfectly secure.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We will post updates here with a new effective date and notify you in the app of material changes.
